Fireworks
04:40
|
|||
I fell down five flights of stairs. At least in my head anyway.
And the roof caved into yours but you crawled out to say...
The light in your flickering heart, is a fireworks show to me.
Then we licked our open wounds, planted some seeds into the ground, started walking down a random road, hand in hand without a sound.
Let it fall from you....

Cheese Crumbs (solo)
03:45
|
|||
You can climb to the top of the mountain,
and still not enjoy the view.
Or recognize the glare of the sun staring back at you.
You can run ahead of the pack.
Finish first in the rat race.
But you'll still be a fuckin' rat,
cheese crumbs on your face.
Up since the night before and the cracks of dawn bring no peace.
You can't buy anything to fill in these holes.
You can reach the top of the stairs
and it still won't feel like home.
A fleeting feeling still unknown.
Having a home...

They came around all the time, trying to get high.
They came around all the time, and i know why.
It's just the same, same, same, all the time.
They came around all of the time.
They came around all the time, choked in misery.
They came around all the time, not learning just repeating..

Sketchy
03:33
|
|||
I saw the clock unwind, i saw the foam spew out.
I saw your inner Jar-Jar Binks stumble out onto the porch.
And true to that stupid character, i saw you wave your arms and shout. "Meesa no care about anybody else."
It made me freak out because....
Oh God your sketching me out!
I heard the crunch and snap, i heard the sniffles start.
I heard the monster tearing out the constitution
in your bleeding fucking heart.
Saw through those lame excuses.
The denials and the desperate boasts.
Not a monster taking over just your inner Coach McGuirk.
I started freaking out because....
The truth of this story is no one really cared. No one really cares.

Did i douse or fan the flames?
Did the FBI open a file on me?
What the hell am i doing in front of a grand jury?
Me and my anarchist friends.
She's been bugged and she's been in the red.
All her life or so the files said.
She stood defiant on the forest floor
So they laid a time bomb under her car.
They'll treat you like a boss would, no matter what the cost is.
You're fifteen minutes late but they don't give a flying fuck!

Hobo Piss
03:45
|
|||
You have so many good things to share.
Stirring in your heart but no one seems to care.
You can tell by their tossed off glances
and their condescending stares.
You're screaming from the roof. "I'm dying inside!"
But no one here seems to mind.
So they pass on by letting the hobo on the rooftop die.
They've come to watch it drown.
The voice that i have that's screaming out loud.
You let it out on paper, but it never leaves your brain.
You tell your loved ones. "Oh my God, I think I'm going insane!"
But they'll shove you full of pills. Let you spiral on down the drain.
Into a padded room where no one can hear you complain.
Everything good i had to say. I gave it away for free.
Now I'm closing up the shop and turning in the keys.
Watching all of these, golden opportunities, get boarded up, foreclosed, and auctioned off for really fuckin' cheap...

Creatures In The Sky
02:42
|
|||
There's creatures in the sky I know not why.
From another place and time, I know not why.
They only got one eye, I know not why.
They wanna see them die, those people scattered all over the ground.
I cannot blame them not one bit.
I'm a guilty consumer and i don't know shit.
Shooting lasers out their butt, i know not what.
They're taking none alive, destroying a rat's nest in order to survive.

1825-1842
02:25
|
|||
My youth came back to me, when ten children ran over my grave.
It was fleeting but exhilarating, hearing them run and play tag.
Then one stopped by, scraped the lichen off my headstone.
And was in awe of the years that i existed.
1825 to 1842. I was seventeen.
When i let those evil forces take me and break me into two.
My mother found me in the river.
Her tears on the ground sprouted flowers next season.
Then a girl stopped by and picked those pretty flowers, wondering why. Those flowers were growing so close to the river's edge.
I'm so close to the river's edge.....

Korea Song
02:35
|
|||
The USA is sounding the drums of war
on a family i've never met before.
But maybe that family is mine.
Trapped on the wrong side of the DMZ line.
I'm a resistor. I'm a defector, I'm an adoptee. Why does it matter?
Go online and look up 'Japanese Internment Camps.'
Maybe you'll understand why i'm not joining in.
With their discordant chanting and their distortion.
Maybe i'm terrified for a home i've never been.
They don't know the difference between north and south.
Go ahead and find 'Korea' on a map.
Oh yeah here there's 'no child left behind'
So i'm pretty fuckin' sure that's why they can't.

The sun in my mind is getting warmer.
Turning streets back into tar.
Oh no you take, take, take and you don't give a shit.
You take, take, take and you not a part of it.
You don't give a shit, you just take, take, take.
Everything you do and say just rubs me the wrong way.
Because you don't respect or honor anybody..
The dam in my mind is getting weaker.
Cracks spreading down the wall.
You honestly believe that you can treat people like wadded up cash.
And they'll be there when you fall....

Paralyzed Paradigm
03:08
|
|||
That old fool is still standing on his hill.
It's not right!
How can you say that you go with the flow when you're standing still.
It's not right!
There he is with his suit of lies. A paralyzed paradigm.

Open Singularity
02:50
|
|||
I awoke in an alternate reality.
White bred, regressive mentality.
Where the passage of time is a bleeding asshole.
With the occasional embrace from a saint.
Shaken to the core, is there anything worth salvaging?
In a blackened mind, ideas burnt and smoldering.
It might be a while before anything grows here again.
They opened up a singularity.
No choice for you, no chance for me.
Who's dystopian dream is this anyway?
The moon is just another neon sign
selling me shit that i don't need.
Grooooooow!

Nothing At All
03:48
|
|||
My friend is an alternating current,
drags my negative energy down to the ground.
He says it's nothing at all.
My friend is a tributary to the bay,
she flows silent and strong despite the shit getting in her way.
She says it's nothing at all.
I'm a wire whipping 'round in a storm,
and sometimes i'm the storm.
Sometimes i'm that bastard caught in the middle of it
trying to make my way back home.
But it's nothing at all.

Carve That Wound
02:31
|
|||
You don't know much about the flowers.
The competition of the trees.
The formation of the continents,
Through the currents and the breeze.
You don't know much about your history.
Even your mother's maiden name.
The measure of a man, and what it takes to make him break.
To you it's all just the same.
But you'll carve that wound in me....

Food Zion (hidden track)
07:00
|
|||
Food Lion, Food Ion, Food Zion.
Many years ago,
Man hunted for his food.
Now we clip and save.
talking 'bout food lion, food ion, food zion.
I think therefore i am.
I don't think therefore i isn't?
You think that you are human.
But all you do is clip the coupons.
